Gorillas on the loose!
Just when you thought the streets were safe…Denver, Colorado hosted the 6th Annual Gorilla Run, October 31, 2009. A benefit for the Mountain Gorilla Conservation Fund, which seeks to continue the work of slain gorilla researcher Diane Fossey, the Gorilla Run broke the Guiness Book of World Records’ “Most people dressed as a gorilla” category as over 1,000 people in gorilla suits ran and walked the 5K run/walk through the heart of Denver. Life is an Adventure...Race!
Grass Roots Racing (PA) event participants have enjoyed wearing World Cup's lycra bibs for their multi-sport adventure races. This photo was taken during the Hidden Valley Adventure Challenge - a race that consisted of a 15 mile bike leg, a half mile swim, and a six mile run/trek--all of which was navigated by map and compass. WCS bike plates hit the trails
Able to withstand the abuse of the 6-day ultra-endurance Breck Epic mountainbike race, World Cup’s heavy-duty vinyl bike plates (not us!) stood up to the challenge of the first annual multi-stage race mostly above 10,000 feet in the Breckenridge, Colorado backcountry. We also graced the podium at the innaugral Mount Snow Mountainbike Festival in 2009 which featured our vinyl plates at the US Kenda Cup East race. The festival encompasses over 50 events – from Bicycle Limbo, Skid Contest, Tire Toss, or the single-track races, where amateurs and pros from all over the East participate. World Cup’rs Ride The Prouty!
 The newly formed World Cup’rs cycling team made its debut on 7/11/09 at the annual Prouty bike ride and walk in Hanover, NH. In its 29th year, the event raises funds for cancer research at the Norris Cotton Cancer Center at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center. It was a great day for riding and the WCS team raised over $2,000 thanks to generous friends and supporters. Overall the event raises over $2million and draws in excess of 3,000 riders and walkers. Next event up for the team is the annual Kelly Brush Foundation Century Ride!
Kevin Robinson BMX and Simon Dumont Quarterpipe Red Bull Experiments – WCS is by their side!
As part of the Red Bull Experiment “series”, BMXer Kevin Robinson soared 27 feet above a huge, specially-made ramp, besting the world record of 26.5’ above the lip, set by Mat Hoffman who first performed the feat in 1992 by being towed by a motorcycle into a 20 ft. ramp. World Cup Supply was there by his “side!”

Kelly Brush Foundation’s Fourth Annual Kelly Brush Century Ride
 
World Cup Supply is pleased to provide products and support for the Kelly Brush Foundation’s Kelly Brush Century Ride, held annually in central Vermont each July. The Kelly Brush Century Ride is a charity bike ride started by the Middlebury Ski Team in 2006 to raise funds for the Kelly Brush Foundation. Learn more about the Kelly Brush Foundation.
