Team Racing Explodes in waters off Newport

Newport is known all over the world as the #1 place to be for sailing in the summertime and this year is no exception as the Rhode Island Team Racing association (RITRA)is celebrating its 4th year of providing top quality events for sailors in Southern New England and hosting their wildly popular weekly team racing series and regattas. World Cup Supply is pleased to provide sponsorship for the Kelly Brush Foundation’s (KBF) Century Ride held annually in central Vermont each July. The KBF Century Ride is a charity bike ride started by the Middlebury Ski Team in 2006 to raise funds for the Kelly Brush Foundation which was established after Kelly was injured in a ski race and suffered a spinal cord injury. KBF is dedicated to advocating for improving ski racing safety, supporting research to treat and cure paralysis due to traumatic spinal cord injury and to improving the quality of life for individuals living with SCI. Grass Roots Racing, a Pennsylvania Adventure Race promoter, has provided entrants with custom World Cup's lycra bibs for their multi-sport adventure races. This photo was taken during the Hidden Valley Adventure Challenge - a race that consisted of a 15 mile bike leg, a half mile swim, and a six mile run/trek/orientation course. Gorillas on the loose!

Just when you thought the streets were safe…Denver, Colorado hosts the annual Gorilla Run each October. The fun race is a benefit for the Mountain Gorilla Conservation Fund, which seeks to continue the work of slain gorilla researcher Diane Fossey. The Gorilla Run holds the Guiness Book of World Records’ “Most people dressed as a gorilla” category record. Where do you pin your World Cup Supply bib? 3rd Annual Paradise Cross Frenzy Cyclocross Race, Windsor, VT

The 3rd Annual Paradise Sports Cross Frenzy cyclocross race took place in Windsor, VT in early November.   147 racers from all over New England and Canada took part in races that lasted up to 60 minutes on a 2.75-mile per lap course that took riders along the rolling fields and hills set against the banks of the Connecticut River.  World Cup Supply’s “Quick-Ship” event numbers made rider identification easy and our custom imprinted fencing graced the course as well.  This year’s race featured the “spiral” – a run yet dizzying part of the course!  The Cross Frenzy attracts world-class and nationally ranked riders from throughout New England, Canada and the local Upper Valley area.
